Haigis Beach, located on Old Wharf Road is located on the southern side of Dennis and faces Nantucket Sound. The beach is characterized by a relatively narrow shoreline with the surrounding landscape giving it a more intimate character than some of the larger beaches elsewhere on Cape Cod. The beach sits within Dennis Port, a village whose name dates to 1850, and its location on Nantucket Sound places it among the warm water beaches of southern Cape Cod.
