Last weekend we reached the Fall equinox signifying the official end of Summer and commencement of Fall. It was a timely and sudden switch in weather too, given we were indulging in some hot sunnier days the week before. Then cue a weekend of rain and much cooler temps as the start of Fall coincided with my opening reception for my latest solo show 'The Four Seasons'.
It was a great turnout for an opening reception on a wet Sunday afternoon, so thank you so much for those who came to see the show and enjoyed listening to my talk on my background and thoughts about the show.
Here's one of the new paintings in the exhibition, 'Southport Harbor in Fresh Snow' which is one of the larger paintings in the exhibit, measuring 36 x 48 inches and captures the lovely view from Harbor Road in Southport, CT.
The show continues untill October 15th at Art/Place Gallery at the FTC building on 70 Sanford Street in Fairfield CT. The gallery is open daily 12-5pm so hopefully you get to check out all of the new 'seasonal' work before it comes down on Sunday 15th.
