Another Opening. Another Show!
Updated: Jun 20
After a long pause of doing in person art shows during these COVID times, its wonderful to see things finally getting better with the galleries opening up again in Connecticut. Similar to buses, it felt like having to wait so long to be back doing the gallery shows, then several in person art shows all come along together at the same time.
Sure, the virtual on-line shows have been fun and I was happy to see some great results with doing this digital format, but it always seem nicer to meet people in person and discuss the art in the gallery setting itself.
The first in person art show I exhibited at since the pandemic began, was at the CCNS Art show back at the start of June. It was great fun to be back again, given last year's event was cancelled. The organizers of the event put in a lot of effort to produce a wonderful show for the return of this annual fundraiser, which is one of the highlights in the month of June that I look forward to. Here's some of my paintings from that show, which was held in South Norwalk/ Rowayton area.
Meanwhile, starting this weekend is a new group art show at the Art/Place Gallery in Fairfield, Connecticut - entitled 'Another Opening! Another Show!'
I have one of my larger paintings of Southport Beach in this show and the opening is schedule for July 18 between 2-5pm. The show will run from June 18 - Aug 29th and the gallery is open to the public all week during the FTC box office hours (12-5pm). Check the Art/Place website for more details or see the flyer below.
Finally on the horizon there is more planning underway to do a larger solo /feature show with many of my new pieces in the same Art/Place Gallery in the September- October timeframe. More to come on that so stay tuned!
