Artist Statement:
I am inspired by travelling and enjoy painting landscapes, cityscapes and the experiences that accompany my journeys through the medium of watercolor and oils. While on the road I favor the portability of watercolor and its simplicity of setup. Back in my studio, I often like to plan, refine and carve out larger sized impressionistic landscapes using oils.

It was a visit to South Africa in 2003 that led me to my first serendipitous step into painting. Having spent several days on safari capturing wildlife thru the camera lens, my images later inadvertently got lost during processing. To recapture the great associations of my trip I decided to recreate my memories thru the medium of Watercolor and have never looked back on my journey since.

Artist Bio:
Jason Pritchard (b.1977) is a British Artist who grew up in East Anglia in England and now lives on the East Coast of the USA. He has been studying at the Art Students League of New York since 2005 and gained experience and training from some of the league's top instructors in watercolors, drawing and oils. He has performed watercolor demonstrations in Long Beach, NY, art shows in Manhattan and has had artwork published and critiqued by 'American Artist' publication His father, Roger Pritchard, is also a successful artist.
